FAQs

The KBA127(A)-SR05 is MA-certified and carries the Ex d I Mb marking, making it specifically designed and legally approved for use in Class I hazardous areas, primarily underground coal mines where flammable gases and dust are present.
Yes. The KBA127(A)-SR05 features a built-in flameproof infrared (IR) illuminator that provides clear night vision up to 60 meters in total darkness, ensuring 24/7 surveillance in underground mining tunnels.
Absolutely. Constructed with electropolished 316L stainless steel and an IP68 waterproof rating, the housing resists corrosion, high humidity (≤95% RH), and extreme temperatures from -30°C to 70°C.
The camera uses a 1/2.9\" SONY Progressive Scan CMOS sensor, delivering 1080p HD resolution at up to 60fps, with ultra-low illumination capabilities of 0.0001 Lux in B/W mode for exceptional clarity in low-light conditions.

The IP68 waterproof test comes from a designated laboratory of the MA issuing authority.

    Test standard: IEC 60529:1989+A1:1999+A2:2013.

Testing of the flame-proof infrared lamp:

    • a. Irradiation Distance: There is no national standard for the radiation distance of explosion-proof infrared lamps. The overall quality is judged based on the distance it's placed from the Zebra Board. The effective distance of the same explosion-protected infrared lamp varies greatly in different night vision systems. For this reason, a separate, targeted test evaluation must be performed for the effective distance.
    • b. Test Conditions: Ambient illumination from flameproof infrared lamps should be less than 0.001 lux (averaged at 550 nm) and weather visibility should be greater than 10 km.
    • c. Test Equipment: A lens with F=1.5~2.0, a black and white camera with low illumination (0.1Lux), a one-meter zebra board, power supply, display device, etc.
    • d. Test Method: After debugging the camera monitoring system, turn on the flameproof infrared lamp and illuminate the zebra board at a distance of 10 meters from the front. After adjusting the image clearly, move the zebra board back until it becomes invisible. At this point, the effective distance X0.6 from the camera to the zebra board is the effective distance of the flameproof infrared lamp for this equipment.
